A Positive Impact on the Islands We Visit
Traveling by sailing yacht allows us to concentrate closely on our environmental impact and promote our innovative model of sustainable travel. As a sailing vessel first and foremost, we burn absolute minimal fossil fuels while underway, and carbon offset all our direct & indirect emissions through verified Blue Carbon Initiative sequestration strategies. All consumable products aboard our yacht are certified environmentally-safe, reef-safe, and/or bioresorbable. Charitable contributions and engaged interaction with local Marine Reserves and designated Marine Protected Areas, coupled with our guiding principle of service through volunteer beach survey clean-ups, coral conservation projects, and microplastic research allows us to showcase a way of adventure travel which has a truly positive impact on the beautiful destinations we visit.
Immerse yourself in the experience of life at sea
Aboard our stunning, newly refitted eco-yacht in one of numerous destination options, welcome the ocean’s energy into your daily itinerary. Embracing and pioneering principles of sustainable travel, we showcase how simple lifestyle changes can significantly reduce your plastic and carbon footprint. Life on the yacht is simple, stimulating, explorative, purposeful, and relaxing all at once. Much like the marine ecosystems we observe while snorkeling or diving, you’ll find numerous parallels to how we encourage guests to see the ocean and world from a new perspective – one of sustainability and positive impact. Savor these moments as you live refreshed by the sea, energized by travel under sail, and awed by the unique cultures and environments we visit.
Advanced systems for the modern traveler
We’ve logged hundreds of hours meticulously refitting our Lagoon 52 eco-yacht with the mission of reducing our environmental impact and enhancing the onboard experience. Enjoy a movie under the stars, cool down with our low-emissions air conditioner, go diving using our ship’s SCUBA center and electric air compressor, recycle ocean plastic with our onboard extruder & 3D printer, post your daily social media updates from our local WiFi server, or simply unplug and soak up the sun! Whatever your speed of travel, we’re ready to help make your trip unforgettable.
Create your own adventure
Want to learn more about sailing? Take a turn at the helm? Help trimming sails, or setting the anchor? Your involvement in the sailing side of the trip is entirely up to you! We welcome eager adventurers keen to learn the principles of ocean travel, but also value the advantages of letting your experienced Captain and Crew handle the yacht work. This is a trip unlike any you’ve taken before – where you decide how engaging your sailing experience will be. Former guests have walked away comfortable with the basic concepts of offshore sailing, or confident handling the yacht with coaching from the skipper/instructor – while others enjoyed the peaceful respite of relaxing under sail, which the yacht tends to herself in perfect balance with the salt and sea.
Underwater, you can challenge yourself at new depths with our onboard certified PADI Dive Instructor, or peer from the surface into the marine ecosystems of dancing fish, playful invertebrates, and colorful corals through your snorkel mask. We always encourage guests to try a new activity during our trips, no matter what age or experience level, and provide a safe, comfortable, and encouraging platform for self- or guided-exploration of families, friends, or solo travelers alike. Take the SUPs out for a paddle around the coast, or float through the mangrove creeks on our tubes or tender. Fly past coral reel underwater with our Subwing(™), or drift alongside a green turtle enjoying a breakfast of sea grass. Either way, create your own adventure with CetoSea and allow us to nurture whichever challenge you’re seeking.
